You'll never get those rates here. It's ultra discount airline. You want those rates, I'd suggest going to work for those airlines. We will always be low tier/discount rates at Spirit. Allegiant pay scale is the best we will hope to get. Not trying to be a downer. It's just the truth. I made the choice to come here knowing this. I have no hopes or expectations of great pay here and I'll never upgrade here. But I'm only here until I can get on at a real airline.

The age old adage: You can "ask" in one hand and sh*t in the other and see which gets filled up first :D

If you are content and/or completely apathetic what's the point of trying make everyone else so. If your satisfied you have nothing to do but go to work and smile. You are in the minority and the rest of us are not going to have our expectations managed downward. At some point as a professional you have to stop calling your job a stepping stone to some elusive moving target. You fly the same plane to the same airports with more people and less support than the industry standard airbus pilots. There is ZERO reason to accept less.

At some point, my friend, you'll have to realize that you accepted a job at the crappiest, cheapest, discount airline in America, not Delta or FedEx. This is a very poorly managed, startup airline and will likely never get better. You can wish and pray it becomes Delta or SWA or you can just apply at Delta and SWA and be there.

If that's how you want think, fine I guess but it's toxic to the rest of us interested in getting an industry standard deal so keep it to yourself. All it does is manage expectations downward and that's not helpful to even folks like yourself.

This is not a startup. It's a 25+ yr old airline that has proven financials that support the ability to afford what we are asking for and maintain a highly profitable ULCC business model and grow at the same time. They don't have to want to pay it but they absolutely will if we stay unified and you are doing the opposite of that.

Does anyone know what the company is proposing in negotiations for the pay rates? Just curious what they think is fair lol

Bottom or second to bottom pay rates of the contracts ratified this cycle with garbage retirement and work rule concessions.

It would be raises in pay rates but not even in the ball park especially considering united and AA start negotiating again next year and this mangament group will inevitably make us own this for 8+ years. The subpar raises they are offering are also paid for in work rule concessions. Retirement is a non starter. Scope is unknown.

Better not to get into specifics on here and fall into a negotiating trap.

The negotiating committee is demanding industry standard and that has been published. It's completely affordable. What the company is offering is not close to that.
