When will Spirit it its own sub-section

Just curious if people want that or if it will happen?

gringo 01-20-2017 06:57 AM

Maybe when the mods finish fawning over Hawaiian.

I mean, they ARE hiring up to 30 more pilots this year, so that's pretty big news.

It's pretty obvious the Mods have a bias against us. I doubt we'll ever see our own sub forum.

ShyGuy 01-20-2017 07:02 AM

Hawaiian is a legacy airline. The ULCCs like Spirit, Frontier, Allegiant, Sun Country do not have their own forum. Maybe if you pay the subsection fee :D

Explain jetBlue then.

labbats 01-20-2017 07:38 AM

If you have to pay for a soft drink you don't get a sub section. It's in the bylaws.

Chimpy 01-20-2017 07:45 AM

Who gives a sh-t. We should just keep making Spirit threads on the main page.

I remember way back when, JetBlue had its own section but thats because the powers that be, had a problem with them. The FedEx and other Legacy guy who started this page..............

So... the back end of the Delta, United and Murican sub sections now get booted back to GenPop?

awax 01-20-2017 08:46 AM

Forum sub-section envy? Please report to the tool of the day thread. Sheesh.

BTW, the magic number is 3000 pilots, does Spirit have a list 3000 deep?

Thanks for proving my point.

Hawaiian. 752 posts.

Total.

Cruise 01-20-2017 08:54 AM

Guess my thoughts are: who cares? Why would you want one, would it make you feel special? Is it really that big of a deal either way?

I know Hawaiian, Hawaiian is a friend of mine, you sir are no Hawaiian.
:D

Yeah, I dunno? I think there is some merit for not having any sub-forums so that pilots can share common struggles across company lines. Of course the reality is that this forum is used to also discuss company specific issues.

I guess it's obvious, but have you reached out to internet brands, the owner of this forum, and asked?

ShyGuy 01-20-2017 01:36 PM

Hawaiian is a legacy. And until recently JetBlue was the 5th largest airline in the country. Spirit, Frontier, Allegiant, and Sun Country are smaller (<100 planes) non-legacy airlines and don't have a subsection.

Guess you lucked out with Virgin riding on the back of Alaska into the Legacy category. ;)

Why ask the mods for a subsection in the Major forum when we clearly should have our own with the proper title....Low Tier?
:D

Imagine the possibilities.

A Low-Tier forum for all of the deplorable pilots at ULCC airlines would be fun. It should also be a non-moderated section, we don't need a nanny state "safe space".

So asking for opinions about something nominates me for the tool of the day? Lighten up Francis

Thanks for the history lesson nerd.

In 12 months from now, Spirit pilots will be a well compensated non Legacy airline, you'll be a "Low tier Legacy F/O for the next decade". I'm fine with being a "non Legacy pilot"

Btw, how'd you like Trumps speech?

It's shocking that you guys don't get more respect.

No one asked for that and it just happened. Nor did anyone complain on APC about our little LCC not having its own subsection.

The retirement numbers prove you wrong. It's ironic a low tier LCC pilot would call out any legacy carrier for their tier status? I know it sucks to know other LCC FOs make more than you, but that's really no reason to throw out unsubstantiated claims. Trumps speech was great. MAGA

You are even more of a tool now than when you pulled gear for me at Pinnacle. Just shut up already. Alaska doesn't have near the amount of retirements as other Legacy airlines. You know, the real Legacy airlines that you could never get hired at.

I would have rather stayed at Spirit than be an Alaskan F/O for the next ten years.

Good luck, you'll need it

Yeah and that part where he turned the whitehouse.gov website into a mail-order bride QVC commercial was super classy too.

Stay classy! I was just responding with a factual statement, so if sorry if that offended you. I was just a RJ FO to escape and yes the legacy didn't call but a LCC did. So what's your excuse to end up at a non-legacy airline like NK? Those who live in a glass house shouldn't throw stones. FYI the combined retire 670/2500 in 10 yrs.

NK to Delta? Regardless, it's a little disingenuous for a RJ CA qual'ed to call out a FO for a career move in terms of qualifications.

Thank you for using the term 'regardless' appropriately! :)

Oh I agree! Irregardless is a pet peeve. :D

Flytolive719 01-20-2017 09:13 PM

Can we picket for our own subforum?

Flytolive719 01-20-2017 09:17 PM

Anyone who posts on Spirit of NKS III is crossing the line.

Flytolive719 01-20-2017 09:19 PM

Put them on the list.

tom11011 01-21-2017 05:44 AM

Allegiant will eventually own both Spirit and Frontier so might as well start consolidating the forums down now.

Lol...God help us all if that happens. I prefer to have both engines working on a regular basis.

Is ShyGuy a spirit reject? He sure doesnt miss a chance at getting a dig in....:D

Xtreme87 01-29-2017 10:23 AM

I never applied to Jetblue until they got their own subsection. Daddy didn't raise no fool who goes to work for an airline that doesn't have it's own subsection on APC.

For now... hopefully not much longer.

Chimpy 01-29-2017 11:19 AM

FWIW, there are a LOT OF OPEN trips with no RSV coverage next week. Please don't choke too much
