No, but one of our EC-135 crewmembers was. We had a powerful HF radio with a long trailing wire antenna, and from 35,000 ft altitude he got excellent results.

An easy phrase for ADF flying..." when the angle of intercept = the angle of deviation, you r on your bearing "
