Cockpit height varies somewhat with loading.

Not very. 40' 8" at the top of the vertical stab, but the cockpit is much lower. 17' 5" to the top of the fuselage over the cockpit.

I don't know the numbers but the C124 looked pretty similar to a C5 just looking out b
