Default Icom Ic-a24

I just picked up one of these radios for a back up for the plane's radios as well as to file on the ground (the COM antenna under the plane doesn't always let me call clearance delivery easily).

It seems to work pretty well and it even can hone in on VORs.

The question I have is, is there a light or ANY indicator when you are charging the unit? I have the unit off and plugged in per the manual's instructions but there is not the slightest indicator on the screen that the thing is getting power.

TIA.

As far as using it inside the plane, range will be limited unless you have an exterior antenna installed for any handheld radio. Your other question I have no idea. Owners manual????

I have the A6, and you're right, there's no indication of charging. And, no reference to it in the owner's manual...
