Quote: You at Arik? I spent some time in Enugu a few years ago.. What a hole..

Yes, Arik. The Enugu airport was shut down last month for a year, for runway rebuilding. The only time I spent there was going to the hotel at 9pm and leaving at 7am.

I ran into some 25 year old RJ captain at the Lagos Sheraton who claimed he was an F-16 pilot.. Don't tell me he's now flying the a340..

Well, can't think of who that might be. To my knowledge, nobody at Arik flying a CRJ has any US military flight time. There's only about 25 of us total. But, there are a few Nigerian's with Air Force time, but I doubt in an F16. We do have Arik guys that flew MiGs.

We do have exactly one CRJ captain flying FO in the A340. Another is the acting A330 fleet manager, just completing his type rating in Tollouesse (ok, grossly misspelled). One CRJ FO and a couple more CRJ captains are scheduled to go to the A330.

I predict your F16 guy was blowing some healthy "Martins" up your 6. Send me a PM with a detailed description of this F16 wannabe.

Lufthansa Technik to repair 737 struck by car: Arik

March 31, 2010: A taxi driver reportedly claiming to be Jesus Christ slammed his car through to sets of security gates to reach the 737 on the tarmac. No one was injured in the incident, and the taxi driver was taken into custody immediately.
