crap....that didn't last long. Sorry for them taking the video private....it was offered from that website so I doubt its on youtube.

While I will concede the greatness of the DC-3/C-47 it was barely in production for 10 years. It is legendary. However, the Herc has been in production of one model or the other for going on 60 years.... Hell it was designed flew less than 8 years after the "Dakota" ceased production. Both great airplanes that in their own ways have stood the test of time.

Frankly I often wondered if the USAF had done an engine modernization of the C141 if they would not still be flying. I may have been a "Herc in the dirt" guys, but always liked the "Lizard".
