It used to be available, and was used frequently when I was doing general aviation but apparently it was found to drain off the motor parts when the engine was stopped much more readily than dino oil and was withdrawn from the market.

The issue was corrosion protection...if a motor was not run, the parts would corrode more readily with synthetic compared to dino due to lack of protective oil film.

Not an issue for automotive use because most cars get driven a lot but many airplanes tend to sit, and of course the liability consequences of engine failure are higher in an airplane.

Synthetics have a couple of issues for aircraft however there have been attempts and aeroshell makes a semisynthetic. The first issues is piston aircraft engines have very large tolerances being air cooled and designed 70 years ago. Lots of blowby into the oil. The second is synthetics don't suspend that blowby especially lead very well. It ends up gumming up the engine rather then getting drained out with the oil every 50 hours.
