Yes they are delaying classes to try and fix the training situation as they is a big delay getting into sims and IOE. My class just finished ground school this week, but now we will have to wait about 3 weeks before we can start the sim prep training. Most people have a checkride scheduled for the end of March early April.
Talked to some guys that started in September and that are taking their check rides this week. They waited about 5 weeks from completion of ground school til starting sim prep. So the good news is that the clog is starting to improve. Supposedly there are a couple of classes for IOE captains coming up as well so this should help get guys through.
In my opinion TSA is fat on FOs right now
