Default Unions and Companies vs rank/file

The tenuous and frustrating delays caused by weak union leadership and timid rank and file is a stark contrast to days gone by where Unions were able to get contract talks done effectively because back then the Unions had more guts and backbone and represented their rank and file accordingly ......... Today I see a weak , pathetic and often times conciliatory efforts by the Unions while at the same time bragging and chest beating about how the rank and file is being represented and protected ..... Total hogwash in my opinion and witnessing at HOW LONG it is taking to secure contract talks for the rank and file ..... Unions gladly collect their service fees (dues obligations ) in order to keep the Unions running and in some or most cases will harass and embarrass any member that falls out of line all the while shaking hands with the company as they further delay a contract negotiation ........ Today's Unions put on a good show to the rank and file , are not providing good and deserved contracts to the rank and file , too much chest beating and braggadocio and posturing to further their own image ..... The rank and file deserve better for the monies being sent to the Unions ...... Alternately , companies would not have Unions to contend with if they treated their employees decently and paid a decent wage for services rendered , but companies would rather expend huge efforts in pinching the employees in order to increase an appearance of the bottom line , they call it productivity .......... Total shame on the Unions and Companies in bringing about these oppressive situations on the heads of good and hard working and loyal employees
