Default Upcoming New hire classes?

Any actual classes scheduled after this May 2nd class? I've read/heard of classes usually being put on hold until after the Summer...wondering how long a poolie might have to swim

May be a while, as of today 0 new hire classes planned for the remainder of 2017. There will be a returning pilot class in June, but nothing currently on the books past that.

Long time lurker here....

Guppy, can you specify the source for the class in June and the other info? Am in the pool and the shore keeps getting further and further away.

If either throws a nuke flying will stop on a dime. Twenty percent off the bottom of every seniority list to start.

Just curious, but what is your source? Not saying you're wrong, but I was told to expect a July or August class just a few weeks ago.

DPRK has already detonated several and if we thought they could actually "throw" one we, or our allies, would end the threat before it became one. An overbought market or a congressional action is more likely to lop 20% than anything else. Even that I see as unlikely.

what you describe is normal... they will announce classes in a month or possibly two.

The source is the group that is responsible for new-hire and returning pilot training. The plans may change, and frequently do, but as of last week they were told no new classes past the June returning pilot class. In addition, interviews are being halted so the pool doesn't get too deep.

We are currently "re-shuffling" a lot of our flying and a large number of displacements are either underway or upcoming. I would not expect any new classes until they see where everyone ends up. My $.02 worth.
