Default Kirby wants bigger RJ's.

I can think of nothing he can offer that would make me vote yes for more or bigger RJ's, nothing.

Hopefully the vast majority of this pilot group agrees..

I have no problem with getting 100ish seat aircraft.....as long as we're the ones flying them.
If scope is expanded in any form in any future TAs I am a no voter. Period

He is welcome to add more and our contract provides him a clear path to do it. Order a NSNB and he can have his RJs.

"I will hope, over time, to convince all the pilots that more large regional jets is actually in all of our best interests," he told employees at a recent event in Cleveland in a video viewed by FlightGlobal.

The key part here is "over time". Here comes the MGT. push, stick and carrot. Don't fall for it!!!

There is absolutely nothing he can offer that would make me a yes voter on more or larger RJ's. Nothing. We (ALPA etc...) need to nip this in the bud and proactively make him aware that this is a non starter.

Well he blew any respect the pilots had for him. Way to go Kirby you destroyed all the good momentum in 1 single day.

Guess we'll be fighting over a new contract for years. If he was smart he would go do do some damage control with the pilot group

My thoughts exactly. I have been giving him the benefit of the doubt and have tried to evaluate his leadership decisions with an open mind.

After watching that video, I no longer have any doubt about his intent or honesty.

UAL pilots have to unemotionally evaluate the issue of large RJ's by weighing this question....
