Wow, one displacement and you're ready to throw away three years of seniority?

New to this business?

Bold statement and plan. Good luck getting on with AA or SW.

Also don't forget you have a career move. And also don't forget that the IAH base is not closing

Ah give him a pass. Dude has probably been hearing doom and gloom from left seat Woodlands residents for last year. As was said unJeffing this place takes time. Didn't hear any sympathy from those same Woodlands guys when Fred Abbott moved a bunch of 737 staffing from EWR to IAH only cause a certain SEC Treasury said mean things about FOF.

Yeah that Woodlands Captain is probably one of those former New York Air or PEX guys who has never been furloughed or bumped and is about to retire with a million dollars in his A fund and a million dollars in his 401k/Bfund and has lived in flown out of Houston for the last 30 years. Never been furloughed or bumped.
No doubt that the captain is surprised after seeing Denver expanded and closed twice by Continental and United management after hearing from both of them that Denver has never made money for either Airline, while Houston has always been profitable and was expanding into South America which was part of the reason for the 787 purchase, to replace the 767s.

Amen! If you were hired before '95 IAH is horrible!

To those who complain about property tax, good don't come down here and pollute TX. ....... We won't be subsidizing your broke ass states anymore lol.

You can always tell a Texan.....you just can't tell them much.

Solidly near the back of the pack in every measure, but won't stop talking about your belt buckle.

While I'm not a Texas fan, most of those rankings are pretty 'squishy.'

#50 in power grid reliability? I've lived in TX several times over the years and never found the power grid to be less reliable than anywhere else in the country. And the US is far better than most of the rest of the world for power grid reliability.

That's just one of the rankings I don't care about. There are a whole lot of other bogus measurements that went into those rankings.

The top 4 on that list: MA, NH, MN, ND. They're at the bottom of my list because I've got to buy a snow shovel to live there. ND is #4? Really? https://www.usnews.com/news/best-states/rankings

I've lived in IAH for 25+ years...I suck too. Stay away from IAH!

Don't worry, those of us in California won't ask for any of the federal tax money that goes to Texas from California as long as you promise to keep the heat and humidity in Texas.

I live in Illinois, and this ranking has it as 29 in Crime and corrections? Not sure what fantasy ranking system is used for that, but it obviously doesn't consider murder rate or gun violence as part of the crime category!!

And I am not sure what Kansas, Nevada and New Jersey did to be worse than us in government??? Those must be some messed up places to out pace us in the race to the bottom!!

Don't ask a man if he is from Texas. If he is, he'I'll tell you.
If not, there's no reason to embarrass him!
