Short Call Coding

Just a heads up for folks on reserve. This is the first month the company is coding short calls as picked up or assigned. I decided I would no longer pick up short calls and would allow them to be assigned to maximize pay. Mistake or not is unknown but I found my 6th and 7th assigned, and unused, short calls coded as picked up. Which would have taken 2 hours off my guarantee. Just keep an eye out.

Can't speak to how your short calls were coded but keep in mind short calls 6 and 7 don't pay anything unless the first 5 were assigned (not APU's). Sounds like you picked some up.

None picked up. All assigned. I stopped picking them up for that reason.

MS audit trail aka schedule history will show whether a scheduler assigned the SC or it was APU based on the ID of the entity that entered it. If it’s a u number it was a scheduler. Comment will also say scheduler assigned. Go to your MS, hit F2, then page forward with F8.

If they code it wrong, c vice s and your pay is wrong fill out a pay claim.

They code them the same way on your calendar. I called and had them changed. I was just recommending people keep an eye on it. This is the first month they are doing it and they seem prone to “mistakes”

Appreciate heads up. Unsurprisingly to say the least.

Thanks for the heads up. 7 assigned short calls must be a record?

Not a bad idea.... However, getting the first two out of the way is essential to allowing you bypass rights. I have bypassed numerous times over the years. Maybe it's not important to you, but I like to control (within the limited abilities) when I have SC's.

Everyone has 2 very early in the month where I’m at. So I’ve never bypassed. They are handing the short calls out like candy. This month so far with 2 days of reserve remaining I have 7 short calls with 0 block.

Would that be a "C" code for picked up and an "S" code for assigned (for SCs)?
