Default EWR crash pad

Hello. I am looking for a crash pad or room to rent in EWR area starting in April or May 2018. I have a car and would actually prefer to be up to an hour or so away from the airport. I'm looking for my own bed with cable tv and preferably wifi. I won't be there a lot so price is a factor. Any leads would be appreciated. Thanks

I'm curious about this myself. Are there any nice neighborhoods in Newark? Similar to a Kew Gardens setup, where you can walk around and also has public transportation within walking distance to the airport?

Nothing within walking or even convenient on public transportation. Linden is a decent neighborhood, but not much in the way of Crashpad with the exception of the Swan Hotel

Newark is fine. Most crash pads are in N Elizabeth . I can walk around at night and feel comfortable , would I want the wife doing so , no.

Kew gardens is by a nicer area , (spent 5 years there ) I mean one is queens and one is Jersey both turds , but one of the turds is polished a little bit. Jersey is a bit more like South Ozone if your familiar . Good pads are around tho.

Ahhh the Swan. Beautiful place. Get the hourly rooms. Extra cheap. AND CLEAN!

The RedEye in Elizabeth has something like what you're looking for. Semi-private rooms (private rooms are available, but pricey), cold beds, wi-fi, cable/satellite in the common rooms, two kitchens, small gym, two sets of laundry machines, movie/TV room, game/reading room, etc. The house was renovated specifically to be communal living, so it's much more than bunk beds thrown into a house. If you want more information, send me a PM.
