Hoss probably isn’t your low qual guy. He gave you a little background, but in case you missed it rather than just choosing to ignore it and be an a$$h0le

Funny,

I’ve known a guy for years. When we were flying Grand Canyon air tours, he always knew a “better” way to do things. When I was flying turbine equipment in AK he was sure to inform me that his C402 job in Vegas was a far better career path. When I was flying corporate turbo props he let me know that he’d never fly a turbo prop because it was the “lowest paid engine in the industry” as he droned along in another piston twin.

When I was flying for the majors/ global airlines his Fed Ex Feeder job in a Caravan made him the most interesting and hireable man in the world according to him.

Fast forward to a few months ago. He is a desperate 58 year old Sky West new hire. And Sky West is the is “best airline in the world” ALPA are a bunch of radicals who are “ holding him back from reaching his career potential” and he’s still got it all figured out, though despite multiple applications in the system he’s never had even one single airline interview from the bigs, much less a job offer. But he’s got it all figured out according to him. And he sounds a lot like our very own Skyw.

Working for a regional is exactly what I would do if I had something else on the side. Regionals are known for outstanding quality of life, days off, benefit packages and an understanding management of other life events. Good plan, sounds like United pilots are the suckers for taking the job.

Good comeback. Very original. I will do my best to sum you up in one paragraph. You are an embarrassment to airline pilots and you are making your brothers and sisters at express look terrible. You talk about hoping for furloughs at UA and hoping airlines like NAI undercut UA. You say more RJ’s will be a good thing for United. You say this is because you are an FO and think that if XJT gets more RJ’s you can upgrade quicker and get the time you need for spirit. You don’t have a degree so you can’t go to a major and you’re angry. You blame UA pilots and hope their pay is forced lower through LCC’s undercutting UA and putting them out of business. You are selfish and don’t care if thousands of mainline pilots lose their jobs. You aren’t willing to work hard for anything yourself or pay any dues. Someone so passionate against UA has NOTHING else going on on the side. You have no other business, you have no one. Does that sum it up?

You should probably stop paying people hundreds of dollars to fly for you because when that trust fund runs out you're going to be up a creek.

I think the flying public is safer with him paying others to fly for him...

How much more cash can United deplete from their pile with new aircraft orders and new labor contracts? United tosses money around in so many directions, I’m not convinced management has a grasp on controlling expenses at all.

Anyway, here is an article highlighting the LCC threat facing mainline:

https://www.bizjournals.com/chicago/...m-wow-air.html

Here’s an interesting article referencing the price war between United and Spirit in 2017. It didn’t go very well for Spirit:

https://finance.yahoo.com/news/spirit-airlines-investors-fear-united-172000885.html;

The article sums up that Spirit investors shouldn’t worry as United’s growth announcement won’t directly affect Spirit due to United’s growth being largely outside of Spirit’s market.

-Interestingly the article was written by the Motley Fool who seem to have something against United.

Let me sum it up for you. You are wrong on almost everything you said except that I don't care about your job. To be fair, I also said I don't care if the regionals shutdown either. I wouldn't talk about paying my dues. Kids are getting hired at mainline because of "who" they know. I paid my dues more than anyone I know. If United pilots like you lost your job, you can still find a job flying RJs or cargo. You'll be fine. You are in a volatile industry, our jobs are never secure. I will go ahead and apologize for calling you a dumbass, because I'm a professional. Time to move on.

Professional is NOT how you describe an uneducated fool who has placed himself on a pedestal of an imaginary life.

Time to move on indeed.......
