I heard the captain contract will be released after 12 months, and the FOs will be released after 17 months.

Why on earth would they (Mother U) move forward on a contract? We already gave them what they really wanted.
Improvements to - Sick leave? Nope. PS? Nope. Pay? Nope. Reserve? Nope. LTD? Nope. Work Rules? Nope. QOL issues? Nope. Anything else? Nope. Suck it up gents. This is as good as its going to be for a long time. And be sure and wave at your DAL buds as they zoom past. |

Yeah the MC and VC said grab a Snickers a couple weeks ago. Things are going slowly. CEO didn't bring up any contract info during charm school and no one asked him about it. Not that anyone I've talked to is in a rush. |
Vacation override is coming back.

Rumor is the MEC demanded a unicorn, but the company countered with a donkey with a horn bolted to it's head. I'm pretty sure that's why a pony is on the table. |
Actually if and when certain company performance metrics are met, pilots will be entered into a lottery to win an emotional support unicorn. However, it must to be kept in the overhead bin and if the lucky winner happens to be a first officer his or her unicorn wont available for pick up until 11:59 pm on 12/31/20 and must be on FSB at that time.

Current Delta LTD - 50% No Cap - 32% B plan contributions Current Spirit LTD - 15K Cap Jetblue AIP LTD - 12.5K Cap (might not be exact but close) SWA LTD - Around 12.5K Cap United LTD 8K Cap - $500 a month more then CAL negotiated 20 years ago. We have leverage. Management is in a box. Tremendous pressure from Wall Street, BOD, Stockholders to make good on there growth plan being successful and most importantly to close the gap between DAL & AA and us and they don’t have a lot of time to make it happen or they are history. Right now UAL has less 70/76 seaters then DAL & AA. UAL is approx 150 & 230 less mainline narrow bodies then DAL & AA respectively. The most profitable part of Legacy flying today is domestic. The company needs more 70/76 seaters to compete with DAL & AA and the only way they are getting them is if mainline UAL pilots are flying them. Plus that’s a good proactive step towards the massive impending pilot shortage at the Legacies in 3 to 5 years down the road. Better be improvements in several areas beyond LTD too. We have leverage and we have management in a box. My two cents 50/50 chance of TA in next year. |
