Pretty sure it’s a cost reduction move. What I find interesting is the pros and cons of switching when the stock is valued fairly high.

The entry fee a company can expect to pay on the NYSE is up to $500,000 while on the Nasdaq, it is only $50,000 to $75,000. Yearly listing fees are also a big factor: on the NYSE, they based on the number of shares of a listed security, and are capped at $500,000, while the Nasdaq fees come in at around $27,500.

So we saved 3-4 hundred thousand on exchange fees. Good for our profit sharing right? Except, Oscar turned around and donated 1 million to the San Francisco immigrant defense fund alliance, or something like that.

What's a million among friends?

Most corporations, including United, donate money to a variety of causes all the time.

He also publicly called Trump's wall "damaging to America" and spoke out against Trump's immigration policy.... Best damn CEO we've had in my 20 years!!! Go Oscar.

I hope he donates a million more. It will probably be a positive on our balance sheet come tax time and it might gain some goodwill. I have family that doesn't even understand which airline I work for. I get yelled at across the thanksgiving table for aomething that happened on Spirit.
