Thanks for the replies and education....guess I was seriously analyzing the wrong documents and not smart enough to dissect the data.

We shall see after the next vacancy bid or two....maybe I'll see a NB CA upgrade before WB FO, but based on Junior FO BES document, there is about 1000 seniority numbers difference between the 2. That was what my original question was predicated on.

Agree but I don’t see any reason(new routes) for that to change in the positive.

Those most junior WB FOs were literally awarded a couple years ago. As soon as they decided to park the 747, those WB awards started going thousands of number senior as guys started transitioning over. As was mentioned above, recent vacancy awards have started showing an additional trend of NB captains bidding back to WB FO, pushing that opportunity further away.

But who knows? We have a huge number of planes due to show up on the ramp next year and plenty of the most senior guys headed out the door. Bid what you want and enjoy the increasing seniority in your current BES in the meantime.

I don’t know your age, financial situation, etc, but being senior on a NB is another option. I’ve gone that path with no regrets. I get to live where I want, work when I want, and still make what I think is good money. I get to pick my vacations, and more importantly, my kids know that I’ll be home every holiday and major event. This is just a job. If you can financially swing it don’t chase the flying. The important things in life are at home and not at work.

I’ve been here almost 11 years and can’t hold wide body FO (or narrowbody captain) at any base anywhere in the system. There was a small window about 3 years ago where I could have held wide body FO but there have been no vacancies I could hold for some time now.

True statement...you must be right around 9900 seniority. There was a narrow window of opportunity where the 777 went very junior. My sim partner was just finishing his second year. I don’t think there have been any vacancies that have have gone junior since those two bids in early 2016.

Accurate statement. Post SLI new hires were getting close to the G-Line on the triple. As was mentioned once the Whale was parked SFO WB FO went and has since gone crazy senior.

Another bit of info, don't believe the Jr Man document either. It appears that the most jr WB is within reach. But further analysis (CCS Staffing) shows that the most jr is in that BES because of a base trade or hardship. The true "most jr" is many numbers senior. :(
