Anyone ever list for higher class travel on LH? Specifically, if you buy first class ID90s but get seated in economy, is a price correction issued automatically, or do you have to request it through MyIDTravel? Do I need to save my boarding pass or other documentation in this case?

Also you booked business class not first class right?

I am curious about the premium economy issue, though. If I buy the business class ZED, and get seated in premium economy, do I need to request a basic economy seat to be eligible for fare adjustment?

This^^^ I booked a business seat on a Zed or ID90, don't know which...business class filled up, and I was awarded economy plus and was unable to get a refund. FYI economy plus is still pretty damn nice.

I hate being a stickler for verbage but there is a difference between an ID90 and a ZED.
If you book a ZED, it’s done thru myIDtravel. Log into myIDtravel and click Agreements in the main menu. You can see all the information there. There is no one answer. Different airlines have different policies for refunds, how to get a refund, downgrades etc. Check out the “Leisure” Lufthansa policies. under general there is refund info... you’ll see exactly what I am talking about.
Good luck!

The only way to qualify for prem economy seat is if u have zed biz ticket. LH seems to upgrade to biz a bit like United so if u buy biz zed then get prem economy seat u won’t get refund. That said on longhaul flights I think it is worth the cash to at least prem economy seat when biz inevitably fills up.
