Explain! What the union doing about it?

Slats Extend 01-24-2019 03:31 PM

The union is representing both pilots in the disciplinary process as they are required to do.

As far as the actual details, it would be asinine for someone who actually knows them to put them on the forum before the disciplinary process runs its course.

So far, we just have numbskulls that are acting like they know what happened.. They don’t.

I’m sorry I didn’t catch just how you seem to be privy to the exact details of this case. Are you actively enovled or are you just relaying second hand information?

Ever hear guys bragging about how they don’t have to comply with company meal expense rules? The idea that they are untouchable leads to BS like this posting of sensitive info because they don’t believe the disclaimers/rules apply to them. They all believe they can’t be fired and if they are ALPA will save them so they operate in their own world of disillusionment.

Tap the brakes PDR. As far as meals go, we are governed by the reasonableness standard of the UPA, not corporate expense rules. So your analogy is nonsense. There are many corporate policies that don’t apply. Don’t believe that? Just read any corporate comm that comes out system wide, and if it’s a new policy, there’s always a disclaimer at the end that says “in the event the corporate policy differs from the UPA, the UPA is controlling.” Now if somebody is loudly boasting about it in front of others, it’s surely in poor taste, but it doesn’t make them the “rule breaker” that you're trying to paint them as.
