According to
United airlines fleet if you google it
It shows 809 aircraft from 781 last month
and the addition of 28 aircraft in a month I would say will cover the grounding of the Max..

Except, of course, United did not add 28 airplanes in a month.
FWIW, the most recent official fleet update says 803 aircraft at the end of 2019. And 30 of them are MAX. This is in contrast to 779 at the end of Q1 2019.
It looks like a case of bad data on the web, not overnight growth.
We should see a new fleet update included in the investor update next week with the Q2 results.
