It’s kinda funny guys on here want our union to negotiate from a totally inflexible position on changes to scope, regardless of what that does to our profitability or expansion, then they proceed to ***** that we’ve gone beyond our amendable date, even though we are actively negotiating with our management. Making SOME changes to our scope clause won’t be the apocalypse, business plans change at some point you adapt or it will cost you. We are expanding our mainline fleet, I personally don’t have an issue with say parking some sh$tty 50 seaters and adding a handful of 70 seats to feed our mainline. And I trust our Union. I know some of you will jump all over this, but giving some minor sensible modifications to our scope clause might be a win for all of us. So go ahead flame on you irrational keyboard warriors.:)

Can you explain this?
If you factor in other contractual gains, the losses over time can become quite sizeable. |
Scope should only be tightened. It seems like some are trying set up the argument : two quarters is more than 1 dollar, 3 dimes is more than 2 quarters, 4 nickels is more than 3 dimes, and 5 pennies is more than 4 nickels. I mean 5 is better than 4 right.
The crj 200’s has a 40,000 cycle life. It’s day will come sooner than later. Crj 550? How many free 700’s are out there to convert? Less than 100. They gonna ask Mitsubishi to fire up the assembly line? Doubt it. Funny how new guppy 700’s are old technology but yet the same generation technology is in these new 175’s the company keeps buying. As for the top end, if they want to go down the road of transferring all the WB to the codeshares, prepare for the harmonious repercussions it will have with labor. I’m sure all of us will core4 that decision. |
