So scope IS for sale? That’s the problem this MEC has on their hands.

Everything is negotiable. The question is, will the Final TA offer more career protections for our pilots then we have currently. Hopefully we’ll both be able to answer yes to that question

I guess the whole “Scope is NOT for sale” thing really didn’t work out, going to be tough for this MEC to save face when this turd hits the streets.

I can write with full knowledge and career experience the “career protections” in our contract have only been as good as the economics associated with it.

What has worked well for “protections” has been the furlough recall rights and limiting, via a ratio, the number of outsourced operations. These type of things tend to make senior management and all their dreamers think twice before making a deal.

Let’s say it curbs their enthusiasm a bit.

But if the Corp starts bleeding cash nothing really will “protect” jobs.

Also the “buy it and fly it” mantra left the coop quite awhile ago. The question before our negotiators is how will we manage these operations from our contact point of view.

Elaborate why you’re confused? Go read section 1 of our contract. Scope deals with a lot more than just RJs

I’ve read it. Apparently you read more of what Kirby puts out. Explain to the rest of us why you’re willing to cave on scope for a sooner TA. Thanks.

Nobody is willing to cave on Scope, go back to sleep

What turd? This is just APC speculation and what if’s with no clue what is going on behind closed doors. We are not anywhere near a TA. We haven’t even reached the gut rumbling stage, much less a turd.

If you think they aren’t budging on scope, prepare to be disappointed.

I’m not even preparing to have something to read any time soon. We have no idea what is going on in the negotiations. Regardless of what they eventually put out as a TA, we still vote on it.
