I believe the CP of one of the largest domiciles in the system probably qualifies to most. I’ve seen references to “Bo” many times and nobody had issues with that.
I know the name of exactly one domicile chief pilot and I suspect most other pilots are the same. Why would one waste brain cells memorizing the names of domicile chief pilots? And FWIW, until I came back to narrowbody flying last year, I hadn’t been to EWR for several years. |

granted, long term planning meats every Wednesday.. but the most current information published states: We are closing in on our summer 2020 staffing goals much more quickly than we were at this point last year, so do not expect a “mega-vacancy” next month. |

During “charm school” less than a year ago PC stood up in front of us and said that in the fall of 2019 there would be a vacancy bid that should be larger than the previous year’s massive vacancy bid (fall of 2018). I would consider that a fairly reliable source. Maybe things have changed since then but I was there when he said it.
