Thanks again for the input everyone. One more question I had was regarding vacation. Right now bidding for vaca next year and I’m pretty senior, so if I were awarded my vacation and then subsequently happened to get a captain award, does my vacation get cancelled or would I keep the same vacation awards for the year and then have to bid bottom of the captain list for vaca the following year?

There is a small chance you could keep the vacation. But recently they have been cancelling the vacations. Then you would be stuck bidding month to month--which the company doesn't award much.

If you are considering widebody flying, take a WB FO upgrade and see if it agrees with you. If not, you can bid to NB CA without a seat lock.

It's a "may" not a "shall" so does anyone know on what basis they'd cancel it? Simple conflict with training? |
