Buffalo trace on the rocks. Delicious

Here's an interesting take on the origins of many American Whiskeys for you bourbon lovers. Note that the Weller 12-year-old special is just below the Pappy's. Three years ago it was readily available in Virginia stores for the lofty sum of 19 dollars. Now that the secret is out, it is unobtanium in VA except during special online lotteries. Not a drop in Maryland either. But schlep up to Canada and you can buy it all day long for $39 per liter. Something ain't right!

I am. I am down to my last bottle. Sniff.

I last saw Weller 12 in a liquor store next to the airport in Lousiville. They had it for around $90 a bottle or so I believe.
