DEN CP emailed me that The company doesn’t prohibit me from wearing a mask in uniform while on duty. But he did not recommend it either.

I plan to wear a mask while commuting and deadheading in close proximity of others, for now at least.

I'm wearing a mask.

If we're going to close schools and businesses, shut the economy off, legislate 2T of stimulus, and threaten people with jail and $1000 fines for leaving their homes, then wearing a mask is a pretty small thing to ask.

Moreover, the company should be providing us PPE (N95 masks or masks with replaceable filters) as we are in congested, high traffic, close proximity work environment with a known airborne virus. If they hand out masks for flights to areas where there is poor air quality (volcanoes/forest fires) why would they not be provided now. It’s documented that when the virus is airborne it can be inhaled. I’d like to lkk no know from a unbiased third party of the virus can be circulated inflight within the cabin.
CORE4 that!!!

I will be wearing one too. This is not tinfoil hat time. I suspect more and more often you will see people wearing them around town and it will not be abnormal, if you even care what others think. I value not only my life but my healthy lungs and as documented mortality rates are lower than initially feared, but for those infected the damage to lungs is no small thing.
