EWR/NYC Layovers

Anyone got any good and current info about NYC and EWR layovers?

My pairing says hotel TBA. I emailed hotel desk yesterday, no response.

1. What do those layover look like?
2. How is company keeping us safe?

I understand from NY that the spread is more severe and faster than they thought it was going to be.

My main concern is getting my family sick. If you have immuno-compromised loved ones having pilots out there flying in this crap and potentially bringing it home doesn't seem prudent.

An IAH assistant CP said NOT to wear a mask in public in the terminal unless you suspect those around you are showing symptoms. What kind of crack is he smoking?

I don't think I'll die from it, as I feel I am young enough and don't have any underlying health issues, but the family is different. I have a child that almost died as an infant because his body wasn't fighting off a strain of gram positive hemopholis influenza.

Everything is being walked out of the city. Read the most recent hotel committee update.

If you’re at the EWR Marriott, the restaurant is closed...limited room service menu.

That wasn’t available the other night but GrubHub worked. I think their app was messed up.

If you are worried about your family, especially with a child who has a medical history, determine that you are not mentally fit to fly, call in sick, and stay with the family. I’m not making light of your kid’s health issue or your concern for your family. If there is something that could harm them, avoid it.

Yeah. Something about food being delivered by a total stranger that is a bit unappetizing these days.

Once you’re over it you should have immunity for a period of time. That’s the bright side.
