I can confirm the last 3 -8s are coming out and all 787s will be flying in June.

Along with

50, 737’s and 17, 757’s

is what I heard, too

Domestic flying is going to recover before international flying... if you take a look at the express carriers they have only cut a small percentage of their capacity. No doubt that the 787s are being used the most out of the WBs for what little international flying is being done right now.

I'm going to assume that they're pulling out WBs to use for cargo flying. I read an article on flyingtogether in the last week or so where a 787 flew LHR-ORD with cargo (IIRC, mail) in the passenger compartment.
I don't know how much cargo we're hauling but I've seen comments that we're hauling a lot more international cargo these days.

Not as much as you might think, but the air freight rates are (by rumor) way up. Cheap fuel and high air freight rates are probably UALs best opportunity for revenue.

yep... any plane pulled out of storage and being flown on the line is definitely good news.

Cargo, I'm not sure how much we are flying vs. normal times. If passenger flights aren't going, lots of cargo is being left on the doc. If we fly 2 cargo flights a day out of PVG, that should be about right for our normal loads with passenger flights. With the rates up, we're making money even with the empty flights going over.

But, I don't know if it's more than what we would normally take. 787's are nice and fuel efficient, but with cheap fuel, can't beat the volume of the 777-300's. Looks like we have only 1 international -200 flying. Everything else is parked.

Quite a few A's still flying, and rotating in and out of storage. E.G. #73 A model just had heavy MX late last year, so has lots of time to go.

Gold to hear. Loads can't come back if the planes aren't flying.
