LoA 11

LoA 11 is United Express Job Opportunities for Furloughed United Pilots. It's an agreement between the Company and ALPA. My question is this: What about Skywest? I am limited in my choice of Express carriers due to my commute.

Thanks in advance for any insight.

Problem #1 is that a UAX carrier needs to be hiring.

ALL UAX carriers that operate 70/76 seat RJs are required to participate as a requirement to operate as UAX. There is no guarantee than any specific UAX carrier will actually need pilots as all the positions are considered "new hires."

Express flying is going to return before mainline... so their is a definite possibility that some furloughed pilots will get to fly while away from mother ship.

is that why they just took all the 787’s out of storage? Because express flying is coming back?

Domestic flying is going to recover before international flying... if you take a look at the express carriers they have only cut a small percentage of their capacity. No doubt that the 787s are being used the most out of the WBs for what little international flying is being done right now.
