That’s interesting because I haven’t been displaced from 320 FO. Yet.

I dont know what your intent was with this post but it’s pretty divisive and petty. I was simply sharing my situation since both myself and the original poster share similar displacement statuses.

ok sorry I hurt your feelers but you need to go look at how many 320 CAs they are planning on......I can’t even hold 320 FO based on the CA numbers and I’m well north of 11,200.

good luck I’m sure they well over staff 320 FO by several hundred.

Man, I’m a little busy looking for a new job, the last thing I need is grief from my colleague.

I appreciated your input blizzue. Good luck with the job search. I couldn’t find anything in 2008 so I started my own business. It sucks but you’ll get through it. I’m hoping to not have to join you in a job search but as a 2007 hire I think it’s possible - time will tell.

Don’t pay any attention to his delivery. It’s a stupid forum and lots of straight talk gets lost in translation sometimes.

Hit me up if you live out West and looking for a flying job. I’m getting some leads here and there and more than happy to try and connect some good guys with a soft landing.

Man, I gotta say, your posts are 'straight man' territory for anyone who wants to make a joke about furloughs.

Had I wanted to make wisecracks, on your first response from Carlson, I would've put something like - he should've come back with your 320 training will be scheduled for 2023.

As a response to this, I would've put that your displacement from the 320 will be when you're told to turn in your badge.

We all know you're in a sucky place; I've been there twice and am thinking that a third trip out the door is a real possibility for me. Please remember that along with a lot of seriousness, most pilots I know have a sense of gallows humor. https://www.merriam-webster.com/dict...allows%20humor

It all sucks but we have no control over it so a lot of us try to lighten up the mood with sick jokes. Nothing personal in it.

I hope that 4 or 5 months ago when more than a few of us were saying, 'hope for the best but plan for the worst;' that you chose to make plans for the worst. By this point, you should've already been looking for a job for at least a couple of months and have some leads, especially with your seniority number.
A lot of us didn't get much warning post-911.

COVID's going to take away your job for a while. Don't let it take away your sense of humor.

There is now training scheduled for Sept. for pilots around the 10,600 seniority level. This pilot is going from the 756 to 320.

Apparently there are a few between the 9.5-10.6 range being scheduled for full courses. The one that's at 10.6 is going from the 757 to 320. Hopefully that bodes well for no more furloughs beyond the 2250 warn number, at least in the short term.

Long time reader here. I am scheduled for full course 73 at 10170s. I was certain I would be shown the door in January, and still dont discount it, but they got me current on the 320 this month to turn around and give me a full course in the 73 in September. Not sure how that makes sense, but I just fly the planes I guess.
