It amazes me that shades open for take off and landing isn't a FAR. I hate when I can't see how close to the ground we are before hitting it because the pax in the window seat has it closed. A little situational awareness goes a long way.

Window shades up for max ventilation to protect against the virus.

FA's also turn the lights on to purposely wake everyone up. 2 reasons, ears, and if you don't, it takes forever to deplane. People still waking up at the gate----slowwww. The FA's want off the plane.

Wear eyeshades (and earplugs) when you are sleeping.

I recommend telling the PAX to open their windows, not just the shades. Get good cross ventilation going.🤪

10 years of commuting now, I'm embarrassed by how long it took me to figure that out. But, I've been comfortably sleeping through that for a few years now, thanks to those 2 things. And, a neck pillow...

Thanks for taking me back to ‘The Summer of the Clampets’. That was a fun filled summer ... both commuting and working flights.
