Thanks for the kind words. Not too happy about the way my career ended, but eFF it. I waited patiently for the better part of 20 years for my "time to make it up" and then Todd decided the rules that I've been operating under since 1986 needed changing. And now guys tell me that I'm a dick for pointing it out. Amazing.

It feels great to know that I'm done with all the BS that this industry has adopted in the last decade and will likely promulgate as you guys move forward. But who knew that LEAP BS would infect the damn union? It really is an association now, just a club. Behncke would crap himself if he was presented with and had to vote on this agreement.

Glad I started in the right seat of the 727 and ended up on the 777. Now I'm going to saddle up my 1-10 (or was it 10-1?) attitude and enjoy my old age before I have to wear diapers and velcro sneakers.

Keep up the good fight and keep ****ing off the Marvins and lick-spittle lackeys who would gladly fly your jet for half.

Congrats!!! Enjoy every minute. I agree.

Fishing pictures always appreciated from your retirement. Best of luck!

It's too bad that seniority doesn't matter anymore and that Captains aren't Captains any longer. The pussification of the profession will be Insler's claim to fame. It's too bad really that the weak-kneed MEC has empowered him to this degree. He not only changed the rules on us, but he changed the definitions of unionism and solidarity. Now, it's every man for himself.

I would throw gear for you any day.

Everything fell apart after some big puss decided we needed to do CLR/CRM. I didn't get 4 stripes without knowing everything! Its really hard for me to be a real Captain with all these fools around me telling me things and offering their dumb opinions.

Yes. Gone. Held my nose and clicked the box. 6 months of practice retirement helped seal the deal.

I was a long time lurker here who agreed with you and always felt you represented the profession well. My condolences and congratulations. Not the way you wanted it to end I’m sure. Thanks for all the participation and commentary. I can only hope you’ll have more time to contribute in retirement, but that’s selfish thinking on my part I’m sure. I hope you enjoy your next phase in life way more than the last..::

Hilton Head to Charlotte Station isn’t the same without the “perspective” of Mandingo.

This is about the dumbest thing I have read all day. Even the knowledgeable and experienced make mistakes. Are you saying you want someone who will just sit there say “great job Captain” while you something unintentionally dumb? You definitely talk like a single-seat fighter guy who’s ego is bigger than their experience. The “I am the Captain, don’t ever question me” mentality is dead or at least on life support. I for one want the back up and I am sure your pax do to.

if that’s the case I withdraw my retort and redirect it at the first idiot then!

Axlf16 was CLEARLY kidding, making fun of the “Captain Buddy” types that rant on here.
