We’re sharing information about a crash that could have happened to any one of us. Losing one of my best friends has given me a whole new level of respect and a bit of fear of mountain flying. As much of a tragedy as this is, the more we talk about what we know the more we can become aware of yet another terrible lesson learned. A lesson that cost the lives of two incredible human beings. They would be happy to know that so many pilots eyes are opening to just how fast one simple decision can lead to a horrible outcome when flying in the mountains.
Costas must have been a good man to keep friends like yourself as company. I am sorry about your friend(s). |
This preliminary report analysis seems logical and perhaps probable. Contingency planning in the mountains is vital.
