I am legitimately asking as I am simply a CJO holder.

it was a big vacancy that Un-did about half of the damage caused by the COVID displacements.

when they reopen DCA/IAH 777 and LAX/SFO/DCA 756 that should about make everyone whole......still a little ways to go.

Don’t hold your breath for “some” of those. Just sayin’.

agreed I’m not sure IAH 777 or LAX 756 will ever come back.

If the MAX is sent to Hawaii in large numbers SFO 756 may not come back either.

The union recently said in an email that the company has plans to bring back IAH and I believe IAD 777 to be ready for 2022, but they won’t say when. I think that it also said that LAX 756 returning was unlikely. I’ll believe it when it is on a vacancy bid.

Hawaii wasn’t really that big of footprint of SFO 756. EWR, BOS, ORD made up the bulk of the flying with a sprinkling of DEN, DCA, MCO. On average we did 1 to OGG, HNL and LIH was on again off again at times during the year. So even if they send the MAX to Hawaii, exclusively out of SFO, I think with JFK Ops starting at some point we could see SFO 756 function minus Hawaii. Maybe not as big as before, which isn’t saying much as we had roughly 90 something pilots in each seat.

SFO 756 didn’t really do that much Hawaii. The Guppy and EWR 756 flew a lot of the Hawaii flying.

This. It’s looking increasingly likely the Ds want to push $2T through by any means necessary. When the airlines cry Armageddon, it’s best to recognize they’re trying to get a piece of that for you & me; and not lose too much sleep over job security.

Y'all are smokin' crack.

The fate of the world (and our industry) is hanging on a thread, and our CEO thinks he smells blood and has the means to eat his opponent. Stand by to see if he is right.

What a clueless post along with the original posting. Why is it the same guys have to scream FIRE, when there isn't even a sign of smoke. You need to go away OLD MAKO.

You must have missed the smiley face! Me, screaming fire? That's hilarious. Swing and a miss, I'm afraid. By a mile. And, who appointed you in charge of this place regarding who gets to post what and on which topics? Hell, I may post more often just to PYO.

The pilots of United have lifted their skirts since the day I was hired. You know that history is on my side here. Please excuse my overt pessimism and attempt at some levity. Lord knows this place can use some.
