First, I didn't post a derogatory thread BEFORE filing a PDR. That is the real problem here. You admit not knowing yet still posting. Spreading misinformation is a bad habit and antithetical to the unionist aviator. We all need to be able to rely on each other, and you seem to be upset about something personally. I reached out and asked around. Pilots have already mentioned this to you on the other forum, yet you still seem to think you are in the right. "Know thy self"
Don't trust me though, your union dues give you the right to get the facts from the source. 3-E-2 Training Not Included in Monthly Schedule Preferencing 3-E-2-a A Lineholder shall receive pay equal to the pay value of the Trip(s) dropped. No dropped trip? no pay 3-E-2-b A Reserve shall receive pay equal to five hours (5:00) for each reserve day dropped. oh wait, not on reserve? no pay 3-E-2-c If a Pilot is given a new training assignment of five days or more after Section 20-F-4 is applied to a previous training assignment, the Pilot shall be paid three (3) hours toward LPV for each day that is part of both training assignments. max training is one day 3-E-2-d If the training assignment results in vacation days being canceled, the pay value of the canceled vacation days shall be removed from Add Pay and added to the Pilot’s Protected Time Credit and Line Pay Value. In conclusion, in you most recent post you, again, lob some claims that don't stand up because your pride prevents you from actually reaching out and asking for help. Here is a great starting point to help get you back on track. https://www.faa.gov/regulations_poli...4_phak_ch2.pdf Oh yeah, I forgot. 9-J |

Unionist aviator? That, is the funniest thing I’ve heard all day.
Oh yeah, I forgot. 9-J Anyway, I have to go now, I have things to do instead of lead you down a wondering trail of discovery. Maybe Sanka in the afternoon and a bit less beer? What a joke.... |

I don't know if they are using 9-J but it clearly delineates the PAY pilots receive. Can you even remember your original claim?9-J-2-c-(3) A Lineholder who attends training that does not require a schedule repair shall receive five (5) hours of Add Pay per day (including days consisting only of travel in accordance with Section 9-J-3-a). If he calls in sick for training he shall not be paid and shall not be charged sick leave.

Thanks. So please remind us again why training assigned post schedule production is free? In my third decade and it’s NEVER been that way.
I'll copy it here for you. Anyway, we don't even know if this is what is being used. But you seem to think it is a way for them to not pay pilots. Pilots are being paid. Go home and put on some herbal tea and maybe try model making. person man woman camera tv person man woman camera tv person man woman camera tv9-J New Training Should the Company institute a newtraining requirement that will initially require more than four (4) hours of training, that is not a part of initial, transition, requalification, recurrent, upgrade, or differences training, and that has a specific, required completion date (as determined by the Company for each Pilot), the following shall apply. This Section 9-J does not apply to Pilot-specific training (e.g., landings, FAA certificate action, etc.). Section 9-J-1 applies only when training is facilitated by line pilots. |

Interesting nugget you found there. Would you please regale us with this notion of unpaid training that we are being protected from? I’ve heard of one getting into a pickle with landings class but mandated training seems to be a stretch. Surely you can provide some educational wisdom and references. |

If it has to do with scheduling the company owns you. PBS means: Pilots Butts in Seats. The union has bought into it. ALPA is cool with you prostituting yourself via PBS. Lots of "freebies" and "cheapies" that pilots give to the company each and every day. We need to take our contract back. A day "should be worth a day." An hour should be "worth an hour." No more of this 3:00, or 3.05, or whatever....a day should be worth a real-deal minimum pay value. Lets start with vacation pay. what's that worth? Training pay. Travel. We give away plenty to the company every day.
