You’re welcome. From this forum you would think we all bring shivs with us to work. In reality, the pilots and everyone around us are all great to work with. Good luck!

Do you know if this would be worth going to as a FO with about 1500 turbine time? Good idea to meet the recruiters, or would my resume just get chucked in the trash?

I would bottom of the pile. But that's just going off of 1,500hrs. If you had LCA, CP, alpa roles, etc. Then might be worth it.

Appreciate it. I’d heard rumors that they favor people who consistently go to job fairs but I have no idea if that’s true. I have a trip over it anyways, probably not worth dropping it.

Not a UA guy here but my son is so I drop in from time to time. IMO you can never show too much interest no matter who or what you're dealing with. I'm retired now but when I was looking to get hired years ago I sent a letter to the VP of flight operations of every airline every three months. From time to time I would get replies. I think it helped me get hired a year or two sooner than I may have otherwise.
YMMV

I just booked a flight to attend. Any hints on casual attire? That goes against everything I’ve heard in interview prep for pilot job fairs.

I find it best to follow the instructions of the people you want to work for. When they say casual, they usually mean casual. If in doubt, go business casual. Dress Shirt, don't forget pants, no tie.

Damn, I guess I’ll leave my flip flops at home. Business casual sounds good to me, thanks for the input.
