Thanks guys. It would have helped a lot this last year with super long lines and all of the restaurants being closed especially smaller airports. I know it's not always the best food on the Earth but pretty good warm meals are better than pretzels. Hopefully we can shoot for something on this contract for that but I doubt it.

I stand corrected.

There is a new functionality on our flt attendants link. Just in the last couple of days. Very new, and not many even know it's there. The link is their phone, functions like our iPads, documentation and chat capabilities, pax seating and info.

Anyway, we can't order food, but the meals that we have pre-ordered show up on their links now. It used to be they had no way of knowing what was supposed to be boarded, now they know. It will also help keep other pilots from eating your special ordered meals. A fairly common problem, especially augmented with breaks, no one knows who's meal belongs to who.

Anyway, my guess is this is the info you got. Can't order food with the app, but it tells you what is supposed to be boarded.

For what it's worth, we have had crew meals in our contract for as long as I've been here at UAL, 1987. This last year, with most terminal food facilities closed, UAL also shuttered a lot of the catering facilities. At the moment, most have reopened. They had some non-contractual boarded meals. We also have a clearly defined process if there is a problem with the contractually required meals. You can buy a replacement, and expense the cost. It was frustrating when even the terminal food vendors were closed.

Hope this helps.

I heard you guys have some kind of app that you can put on your phone to order food on any flight you're working over 3 and 1/2 hours. Is this correct. Or something close? Hoping we can ask for that in our new contract at Delta.

Thanks

What? You already get profit sharing...now you want meals and the choice of meals? :):D:)
