Default Contract Poll

Assuming the rest of the contract is good, how would you vote if the pay rate did not keep up with inflation?

1: it's not over until passed and signed, 2: the next contract is always around the corner so negotiations are never really over

Ironic that we have more polls here than we get from Hamilton and friends.

Since you feel the need to ay the same thing twice. So will I.

"It sounds like you don't like how the MEC does business.

If that is indeed the case, get involved. You don't have to be elected to a position to help. Go to a meeting, floor a resolution. Be part of the process. If you want to help more, run for a position and put in 10 times the work for 1/3 the pay. Help the process change or mold it to how you think it should go. If you don't participate, then you get what you get."

You want a poll within ALPA? Go to a meeting and get a resolution passed to do just that.

I didn’t need a formal poll to give my reps all the reasons I would vote no on the next contract. Your reps also have email addresses.

Noel Ojeda and the rest of C-34 have always been very responsive to my emails.

Default Inflation adjustments

Just as a point of reference, the last time UAL pilots flew under a normally-negotiated industry-leading contract was 2002. We had better work rules, lower medical and a pension.
Sample pay rates from then and the inflation adjusted number:

12yr 777 CAP $289.78 ———> $465.69
12yr 757 CAP $242.55 ———>$389.79
12yr 320 CAP. $232.59. ———>$373.58

6yr 777 FO $181.10 ———> $291.04
6yr 757 FO $150.15 ———> $241.30
6yr 320 FO $143.65 ———> $230.85
