YOU are missing the point. EVERY witness is lying. ALL the police are lying. Even the video…..is lying.

If history is any indication, then yes the Police are lying. Haven’t seen any witnesses, so you’re making that part up. The video isn’t lying, shows UGE commit both assault and battery followed by Langley’s execution of self-defense; bias clouds your vision.

The law might not be as orgasmic as watching Black Men unlawfully arrested and killed, but it is the law; providing you have video. No video, and we’re back in 1962 again. I hope this goes to trial, but the lawyers, if they’re smart, are probably drawing up the settlement as we speak.

I see you edited out the part where you said we are letting our bias cloud our judgement. Smart move, you’re pretty transparent anyway, but that went straight past transparent to hypocrisy.

We all have our biases Galaxy. I’m biased against anyone who’s against American values and my fellow Citizen. But my bias is no better than anyone else’s…it clouds my vision too, so I try to disregard them.
I suspect that our differences on this particular issue stem from the fact that I’m looking at this from a purely legal standpoint. I know the legal definition of assault and battery. UGE is guilty of both. You’re probably just looking at some poor dumb bastard who got worse than you think he deserved…on that, we disagree.

In the civil law venue, negligence, one must also consider the “but for’ test. In this case, “but for ‘ UGE’s zealotry, this whole thing never happens.

I have also had to defend 2 of our very own EWR Pilots who were falsely accused by NYC Police. Both of whom were awarded cash settlements once fully exonerated.

I’ve been working at EWR airport since 1987, sans my active-duty time. Maybe my view is biased. But I am actively attempting to remove bias from my analysis. I suspect the next few weeks will tell.

Back in IAH as of last month, but I’m born and raised in EWR and will see it again once my youngest finishes High School. I’ve been a ramper, fueler, cleaner, mechanic, CSA and Board of Ed teacher at EWR airport prior to going to USAF Pilot Training . Lotsa friends on PA Police.

Why would you have any police officers as friends when they are all biased and arrest people based on their skin color regardless of facts? Seems kinda strange.

If I said all blacks are gang bangers but then said I have Black friends.....some might see a disconnect in my logic....that is essentially what you have done.
