737 Capt OE
 

Any updates on the training backlog for 737 Capt OE? Some folks apparently have been waiting for 3+ weeks.

Did my 737 CA upgrade LOE on the 11th of April. Still not done with OE.

They told us in charm school that we would get out and online before the guys waiting. Less training if they get us done first. Enjoy your time off.

5+ weeks here. Have to go back for a refresher soon.

Apparently they’re weighing many variables as they prioritize their lineup. OE scheduling updates/expectations is definitely wishful thinking, but some visibility in their timelines would benefit those on-the-hold.

It's particularly frustrating when you reach out looking for info, and two departments each say to ask the other.

I think the policy changed to try and get the people finishing training now done, and those that are beyond 30 days of waiting become less of a priority.

Mine took almost a month to start, and then three weeks to finish.

There are not enough LCA’s, of the new LCA’s that have been hired at least 50 are waiting for their right seat legs and 2&2 training. There are more LCA’s currently going through ground school that will simply sit in limbo with no flight training available. Most of the OE schedulers have quit due to them being moved from ORD to DEN. Almost all of the established LSM’s have quit. It’s going to be a minute before you get trained.

Edited to add that the FAA has very few people available to do LCA check rides.
