Fractional to UAL

Anyone know of pilots getting hired with zero 121 time coming from fractional flying as long as they meet minimums?

yep, there were several 91/135 guys in my class a couple months ago. 121 time isn’t a requirement, but I will say a vast majority of the class had it.

Yes but being a check airman, higher PIC, more type ratings etc on the resume always helps.

I got hired with 0 121 time, coming from a part 91 flight department. I was in management at my department, so I was able to check an additional box.

I was also career 91/135. My CP role was several years ago and have "just" been a line pilot for a couple years. Yes most will have 121 time but it's not a requirement. Just know your stuff during the interview and you'll be good.

On a similar note, just curious if any military folks who haven't flown in a few years are getting hired without recency. Just a few years ago, it seemed like everyone was having to make a stop at the regionals if they were separating or retired from a staff position just to get a few 100 hours under their belt.

It will definitely help, and being current will make training a lot easier

I’m sure it would, but I’m not asking that—just asking if anyone has been hired without recency. Just a curiosity in the current hiring environment. This doesn’t apply to me BTW. I already work here.

I’m in the training dept and I have not come across anyone who has not been current. So I’m going to go with no, but I’m sure there are the very rare exceptions.

Cool, thanks
