Default Coordinated strike UAL-DAL pilots...

In response to management dragging their feet.
Somewhere in December....
Now THAT would send a message. 😎

We are no where near a strike thanks to the TI. He set us back years with his management friendly style. DAL just concluded their strike vote and it would be incredibly fast to be released in 2 months, not to mention a holiday strike would get a PEB and cooling off period.

Sounds fun but we live in the reality of following rules set in place by the RLA.

To be fair, he didn’t say December of which year.
I doubt UALALPA could get released to strike by December 2023, but 2024 is reasonable.

If you really think any pilot group will be released to strike I have a bridge in Brooklyn to sell you.

All you gotta do is proclaim you want to strike very publicly and letting the talking heads run with that storyline. “When will it happen?” “We don’t know”

uncertainty is a fickle beast to rubes on the street

WHY the defeatism right off the bat?

The railway workers just got released and they were far more essential than losing 10-15% marketshare.

Honestly I don't know why they aren't buying up ad space during the NFL games to put this forth to get the "book away effect"....doubly so with the holidays upcoming. Seems pretty darn effective at reaching the masses even if one has little or no chance of being released. What am I missing?

ad space during NFL games would bankrupt ALPA pretty quickly.

No chance of a coordinated strike.

It would be interesting if both pilot groups had a Withdrawal Of Enthusiasm at the same time.

I just hope it doesn’t happen in the last half of December. We don’t want to skr3w up the holidays.

I agree it would be difficult to coordinate a strike by both legacy carriers however IF our ALPA leadership has any nurts, they would encourage a "fly by the book" day or two. After a few events of this nature, the traveling public, the congressional leadership and hopefully the airline management will get the idea.
