Excellent side gig, in my opinion, if one has the skill to make it engaging. All management approved, of course, as it should be.

While some of it is a little cringeworthy, his videos are well done. I say good on him for promoting himself AND profiting. Isn’t that why we are pilots? LOL

do you not understand how YouTube works?

Would you rather he be selling d!ck pills and criticizing 777 guys on their perfect execution of emergency procedures during a serious incident?

You guys ended up with one of the few good influencers. YouTube and chill bro.

<edit> watched the video. Top notch. This kid is good, and in a few short years he’ll likely be multiples ahead of his UAL earnings from these videos.

He’s working smarter, not harder. Good for him.

His videos are excellent.

This type of **** gets posted every once in a while by bitter weirdos from Envoy that don’t like Swayne. Fortunately, over here on the United page it does not go as they want it to nor does it turn into a years long circle jerk. Which is nice.

But we also have dudes like “mylayoverlife” and “pilotdaddy”……which are just plain AWFUL. Swayne is doing it with class.

This video looks pretty well made, it's accurate etc...Most of us in the industry a while probably roll our eyes. Guys new to the business like him still have interest in this stuff.

I really liked this video and I wish I had seen something like that 10 years ago when I started at UA. It's not cringey and it is well edited with good information. He seems very well put together.

Nice guy in real life too. I think it also helps our image during negotiations because we have our share of slobs running around.

I'm just so glad we didn't hire flywithgarrett. That's got to be an awkward cockpit.
