Out of curiosity, how’s the performance on the max. Yesterday I was trying to catch a flight from EWR to BOG but they blocked 10 seats due to weight. TIA
She’s a pig though. She won’t get up to the high crz alts unless your light and so turbs can be an issue as you have less wriggle room. Her length means that she can be cg sensitive. For a longer flight, I’m not surprised they had to block seats — But she sure is far more smooth flying than her older cousins. |
With any luck you will have a choice, but keep in mind that recently the 737 has either disappeared 60% of the way down the class seniority list but in other cases has gone to the last person in class. Class drops can be unpredictable. With that being said, the 737 seems like the way to go at UAL.

I’m glad we have the 320 and 756 fleets because it buys me artificial seniority from people senior to me who put their preference on what they fly or where they layover. I never fly red eyes, trips are always commutable both ends, and usually only fly 2 legs per day. The 320 is definitely a more comfortable cockpit, but I couldn’t bid the same type of trips. Considering that the pay is basically the same, I’ll take the junk jet with the better schedule.

+1. Thank god for the fools and Riddle dorks who choose cockpits over schedules and seniority. Thank you very much!
