I agree that scenario would be wrong but it’s not the case. What’s also wrong is an instructor taking a pay cut to work in the TK. Every instructor can hold NB Captain right now but are getting FO WB pay. Even with the AIP, WB captains will get a pay cut when working in the building (as mentioned above).

If a WB captain (not a lifer FO who can currently hold WB captain) applies/accepts a job as a pilot instructor(not evaluator), then they deserve the pay cut. Not saying that to be harsh but rather due to that pilot being completely clueless about how our current training/standards system is setup. Years ago at an airline that no longer exists, it was common for a WB captain to do a stint as an instructor. The pay was best held therefore no pay cut(just a major reduction in days off for about the same pay…)It’s been a decade since that was an option.

Give them their pay and what qol they would hold. 9 years to hold a Capt line in Denver on the bus. Half come to circumnavigate seniority. That's why they are there.
