Training footprint

How long is training? Are there any breaks? When do you find out which A/C you get? How about pay how much is that? How long would it be to finish IOE? Thanks!

About a month and a half total including basic Indoc. Generally yes between BI and your fleet training but not guaranteed. Pay varies, and that’s a complicated answer. Plan between 7-8kish per month. IOE depends on the fleet. WB NH is longer than NB.

You will be contractually allowed a 2 day break every 5 days.

Training for a new hire consists of 3 training courses:
Basic Indoc - 2 weeks
Intro to Fleet Training - 2 days
Qualification Course - 24 Training Days (5 weeks) Including one week of CBT study.
IOE - Typically 2 Trips

No contractual breaks between courses but there is usually a few days between BI-IFT-Qualification Course.

You will have entitlements of 3 Training Days Off to be used after the qual course or IOE.

They will not schedule you for IOE until you have passed your QLOE. The delay could be 3 days or weeks. For the most part they have enough LCPs now to minimize delays after QLOE.

9-F-6 A Pilot shall have no more than five (5) training days in any seven (7) consecutive days, and
shall be scheduled for at least one (1) period of at least two (2) consecutive days off every two (2)
weeks. For purposes of this Section 9-F-6, a travel day is neither a training day nor a day off.

it is not two days off every 5 from contractual language. Know your contract, fly the contract, enforce the contract

Be sure to use your days off. Make one of them completely free from anything work/training related. Your brain is a muscle. It needs a rest day every now and then.

Thanks for the breakdown. Can CBT's be completed remotely or do they have to done in Denver?

Approx how long is aircraft conversion training (i.e. a 737 FO bids up to 777 FO)? I’m guessing that would be the 5 weeks plus IOE?

Correct. It's everything minus BI and IFT. So plan about a month and change in Denver.
