Preorder deadhead meals?
 
Anyone know how to get the invite to work so I can preorder a meal? I keep getting 'window closed' in spite of it being 2-5 days prior.

hit or miss for me… 50% of the time it pops up on the main page of APP…

I've got it on the app in my inbox. Within the window, but when I try to choose a meal, it says that the window's closed. But the flight doesn't leave for 3 days.

same… I’ve actually had issues on ordering meals when the FC ticket was on my dime… must be a glitch.

Doesn’t always work via the app. Instead, go to https://www.united.com/preordermeals. I think you have to be within 48 or 24 hours. Seems to work better this way.

I tried that along with several other methods. All said the same thing: Preorder window is closed. In spite of it being between 5 days and 48 hours.
I sent a couple of emails to the head of catering and someone else to try to resolve it, along with having my flight office pursue it.

Not a huge deal, but it would be nice to preorder. And it saves the company money because it's less extra meals to board (so as to offer choices to pax).

very frustrating. I recall being told it had to be between 48-24 or within 24…something like that. Hopefully they’ll fix the glitch at some point

Ha, the company doesnt board extra meals, some pax just dont get what they want. (usually PS pilots who didnt preorder)

I do it on the united.com website and was able to pre-order without any issues. Click on my trips tab and enter your information.

Have you actually been able to order a deadhead meal? I'm now being told that it doesn't work for deadhead crews. I have never gotten it to work.
