Exactly. If the MEC rejects the TA, the membership will implode, heads will roll, and we won’t see another TA for a couple years.

big misconception that the MEC voted on bullets… they were briefed in depth by the NC members on every change.

Wouldn't be my guess. I'd say a revised TA would be out for a vote a month late.

you talking about the same MEC that voted a month ago to unanimously pass the AIP that became the TA? If they do then hopefully every flip/flop yes/no rep will be booted. This needs to go to Member Ratification… that ship sailed

The push to rush through this part of the process by some makes me suspicious. It's a bad look. Bad vibe.
They voted on bullet points. Broad ideas. Without the benefit of final language. A vote for an AIP and a vote for a TA are not required to be the same. Otherwise, why vote again? I know many want to hurry up and get this over with but this part of the process is necessary. Governed by the policy manual. The language has to be vetted and the reps just got the final language on the same day we did. I'm sure this will get past the MEC and will end up going to ratification. Everyone will have their chance to vote. But it's way too early to threaten a recall if a rep reads the final language and sees too many easter eggs. I know many want to get their hands on their retro check but relax and let this play out. We've had the language for less than a week. Chill. |

If your MEC voted on bullet points they were truly doing a terrible job. The MEC should have been in near constant communication with the NC throughout the process. They should have been getting weekly updates and have been providing direction to the NC on a ongoing basis.

18-5. Now it’s a party, MRAT being a forgone conclusion.
congrats to all… because make no mistake, whether you vote yes or no, when it passes.. you own it. It’s your’s. ENJOY |
